Interim Pastor:  Michael Estep
Retired from the US Navy, Michael Estep accepted the Lord's
call to preach while serving at Naval Air Station Memphis.  
Since that time he has acquired a BA in art with a minor in
religious studies from Southwest Missouri State Univ., attended
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, received his MS in
Interdisciplinary Studies from the Univ. of  North Texas, and
earned a Texas Secondary Education teaching certificate.  He
was a pastor for six years in East Texas, and has attended First
Baptist Church in Marlin for three years.  His wife, Kathy is the
Children's teacher for 1st - 3rd grade.  They both have a heart
for the lost and First is blessed to have them part of our
ministry.

Minister of Music: James Cheesman
James grew up in a musical and ministry minded family from
Cuero,TX where his father serves as a worship pastor.  James
is a gifted worship leader, and has a heart to lead God's people
into the throne room of God.  He has been a tremendous asset
to FBC Marlin, since joining the staff in June of 2008.  
Recently, he has written and produced a Dramatic Christmas
musical entitled "From Rags to His Riches" that he is currently
in the process of publishing.  In his spare time, James enjoys
playing guitar, french horn, numerous other instruments, and
participating in various sports.  
Minister to Youth:  Micah Titterington
Minister to Children: Lauren Felps:
Lauren came to us by way of Round Rock, TX.  She is currently a
student at Baylor University where she is getting a degree in Family
and Consumer Sciences.  Lauren loves children, and is excited about
helping children understand that God loves them and what a
relationship with Jesus Christ looks like.  Lauren enjoys singing,
drama, and dance.  As the newest member to the staff, she is sure to
bless and improve our church through her talents and gifts.
Financial Manager: Joy Kunkel
Joy lives in Otto,TX with her husband Darrell and their son Daniel,
who is a 10th grader in the youth group.  She has two other grown
children Levi and Ashley who are both married.  She is Gigi to her
new grandson, Ethan. Joy is a compassionate servant of the church,
and carries herself with the up most character.  Joy is very active as a
youth ministry volunteer and a member of the church Finance
Committee.  She enjoys reading, riding horses, and all things related
to her children and family
.
Church Pianist: Jonathan Pinto
Jonathan has been around ministry his entire life growing
up as the son of a pastor in Fort Worth, TX.  He is
attending Baylor University with a major in piano
performance.  In his free time he enjoys watching all
kinds of genres of movies, and is an avid reader.  He is a
tremendous talent, and blesses our congregation with
wonderful music each and every Sunday and Wednesday.
Church Organist: Phyllis Macmillan
Phyllis is a long time member of First Baptist Church and
resident of Marlin, TX.  She is currently the city of
Marlin's librarian where she serves the community.  
Phyllis is a great talent, and FBC Marlin has been very
blessed to have her sharing her gifts with us every week.   
 

Church Custodian: Darrah Sowder
Darrah is a life long resident of Marlin, TX.  She is a
devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and strives to honor him
through the cleaning and maintenance of the facilities of
First Baptist Church of Marlin.  She rarely misses an
opportunity to cheer on the Marlin Bulldogs, and also
spends time volunteering in the children's ministry at the
church.  Additionally, Darrah has a younger sibling Drake,
who is in the children's ministry.
Co-Director of Preschool and Nursery Program: Jo Stem
Jo is the long time director of the preschool and nursery
program at FBC Marlin.  She has a wonderful and
pleasant spirit that our church's youngest members have
been drawn to for decades.  She is married to Jack Stem,
who is a deacon in the church, and together they have
several grown children.
Co-Director of Preschool and Nursery Program: Arinda
Lee
Came to Texas from central Florida.  Arinda and her
husband Jim live in a small community just outside of
Marlin where they raise show horses on their ranch.  She
loves children, and is carrying on a long tradition of
wonderful Godly training for our little ones at First
Marlin.
